About Me

I’m Kathleen Perry, a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist (LCAS). I have worked with—and remain professionally affiliated with—one of the leading behavioral health hospitals in the Triangle. Before entering the mental health field, I spent over 20 years in corporate America, experience that continues to inform my work with professionals, high-functioning adults, and individuals navigating burnout and major life transitions.

I’m also the mother of two college-aged sons. I was drawn to the mental health field through my own early life challenges—experiences I learned from, grew through, and ultimately overcame. These lived experiences, alongside extensive clinical training, shape my pragmatic, compassionate, and no-nonsense approach to therapy.

One of my greatest strengths is helping people recognize and gently alter the internal “blueprints” they’ve inherited—patterns shaped by early experiences, relationships, and expectations. Together, we examine what still serves you, what no longer does, and how to intentionally create a way forward that aligns with your values, strengths, and goals.

My greatest professional fulfillment comes from witnessing patients reconnect with themselves and move forward with confidence, intention, and authenticity.
